155 Mbps MMF SBus ATM Adapter

Efficient Networks ATM SBus adapters transfer PDUs instead of cells across the bus via on-board PDU memory for:

    • Superior buffering and complete control of required resources
    • Less dependency on bus latency
    • Zero cell loss
    • Predictable performance in machines with many virtual channels
    Software Features include
    • Solaris 2.3/2.4/2.5, SunOS 4.1.4 OS support
    • ATM Forum UNI 3.0/3.1 signalling
    • LAN emulation client (LEC) support
    • RFC 1577 and 1755 (classical IP and IP signalling with ARP server)
    • Efficient configuration management (ECM) for network performance analysis, connection management, diagnostics and statistics compilation
    • ILMI address registration
    • Unique IEEE 802.2 48-bit MAC address can be used for ATM network as the 48-bit ESI field of the ATM address
    Hardware Features include
    • Midway - a custom designed, high-performance SAR and DMA ASIC supporting AAL-5
    • Single-slot SBus (proven in all Sbus architectures)
    • SONET/SDH STS-3c/STM-1 (155.52 Mbps)
    • Up to 1,024 VCI support
    • VBR, CBR, UBR traffic management
    • Client/server configurations adapter memory options
    • traffic shaping capabilities
    • OAM cell support (F5)
The board has 512 k RAM and supports Multi Mode Fiber.
