    Atecom (ATecoM GmbH ) : ATM-SHAP4

    Quad 32 Class traffic shaper

To profile ATM cell streams on 4 UTOPIA compliant ATM ports originating fromunpredictable sources (like LANs) or after cumulation of bursts into welldefined ATM traffic contracts the components enables the distribution of inputtraffic into 32 independent queues (configurable from 2 to 2M cell storage). The queues are grouped into 12 groups. The distribution is based on VPI/VCI.The queues output behavior is controlled by Double Leaky Bucket which already allows for a 3-step tuning of the output characteristic. In addition 32 independent parameter sets per queue are available. Selection of the active setis either via hardware or software. The component supports multi port unidirectional UTOPIA compliant link. Main application is the on-the-flyprofiling of cell streams into multiple physical links at the output of anetwork node. Service subclasses per port are achieved by the queue subgroupingfeature. Arbitrary output characteristics including ABR typical ones can be setup.

    • Multiple port UTOPIA-1 compliant ATM interface 155 Mb/s
    • 32 queues each capable of storing 2-2M cells
    • Queue grouping into 12 groups
    • Internal single or dual leaky bucket, shaping function
    • 32 Shaping parameter sets per bucket select able per hardware for flow control
    • Minimum output rate 9 Kb/s, Burstiness 0 - 64K cells
    • Flow control feature (output can be stopped while input still receives cells)
    • Static, round-robin priorities and mixture of both
    • Counting of lost cells

    Technology: unknown
    Package: PQFP 208 Pin
