    VME ATM Adapter

    The 5215 provides full duplex ATM connectivity for SGI Onyx and Challenge systems running IRIX. In addition, sample drivers are available to allow the 5215 to be integrated into numerous other VME-based systems including Hewlett-Packard Series 9000s running HP-RT and Sun Servers running SunOS or Solaris. Features include:

    • Provides a Full Duplex, 155 Mbits/sec ATM Network Connection
    • IRIX 5.x Support and Sample Drivers for HP-RT and SunOS
    • Software Selectable DMA Operation up to VME64
    • Connectivity to Existing Legacy LANs via ATM Forum-compatible LAN Emulation and RFC 1577 (Classical IP over ATM)
    • ATM Forum UNI 3.0/3.1 Signaling
    • Supports Up to 2,048 User Configurable Virtual Channel Identifiers (VCIs)
    • Traffic Shaping via Cell Scheduling and VC-independent Buffering
    • Hardware-based (Segmentation and Reassembly) SAR for Enhanced Performance
    • Performance ASICs Deliver Optimum DMA Transfers Without CPU Intervention Allowing Maximized Performance When Network Demand is High
    • CellView(tm) Configuration Management Software
